Academic All-Stars

Central Wisconsin´s young people are extraordinary. Throughout our communities, we see youths who work hard on mastering complex ideas and academic disciplines, putting their marks on the study of big, important subjects. They´re doing great things every day. USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin wants to recognize those standards by honoring the highest academic achievers among the region´s 39 high schools. Those students are our Academic All Stars.

In Wausau, Wisconsin Rapids, Stevens Point and Marshfield, we asked all local high schools to nominate their top graduating seniors. This year, we received an amazing 51 nominations. Take it from us: It was an impressive group!

In early March, judges from local colleges and universities reviewed the nominations and selected this year´s top 12 Academic All Stars. The recognition, this site and our coverage is a tribute to the hard work and aspirations of all nominees. We congratulate them on their successes, and we can’t wait to see all they´ll accomplish.
